In 2012, PEDAL Consulting finalised the exploitation and business plan which was prepared in the framework of an EU funded project for one of its clients.
The objective of which was to determine the commercial viability of the project’s main outcome – the Impact Assessment Tool. It described the developed product and associated services, categorised the product variations and outlined the marketing strategy and future roadmap of the commercialisation process. A significant space was dedicated to market analysis focusing on the attractiveness and the dynamics of relevant (transport and security) markets. It provided a picture on users’ needs, market trends, market segments and the market size.
The business plan further assessed the strengths and weaknesses of current and potential competitors. This analysis provided both an offensive and defensive strategic context to identify opportunities and threats. Finally, the document provided a state-of-play on the common understanding of project partners as regards the establishment of new business entity. This included the future roles of individual partners as well as their considerations on selling price and future financial plan.
