In June 2014, PEDAL Consulting started implementing the BRD-NET project
, funded by the International Visegrad Fund, the aim of which is to strengthen the capacity of NGOs and local experts, and their ability to attract EU expertise and funding for regional development, and to improve synergies between the third sector’s and local governments' initiatives in the Black Sea Eastern Partnership countries.
Within the frame of this project, PEDAL Consulting conducted online and offline training, fostered partner dialogues and networking, and organized cross-border and cross-sector exchange and knowledge sharing. An online course helped participants master project approach and prepare own projects by executing tasks and receiving feedback.
On 21 February 2015, Odessa (Ukraine) hosted the Final Conference of this project. The conference was attended by international experts from the Visegrad countries – Czech Republic (Europeum Institute), Hungary (International Centre for Democratic Transition), Poland (Development Policy Foundation) and Slovakia (Pedal Consulting), representatives of government and civil society organizations from Georgia and Moldova, representatives of local authorities from southern regions of Ukraine (Odessa, Kherson, Mykolaiv oblasts) and non-governmental organizations working in the field of regional development. The conference, attended by over 80 participants, started with a plenary session and included a number of workshops and trainings on various topics amongst which project development and fundraising for projects, budget and project management.
