As the ROBIN project approaches its conclusion, we are proud to present two flagship publications. They capture the knowledge, tools, and insights generated over nearly three years of collaborative work. The ROBIN Policy Briefs and the ROBIN White Paper together offer not only strategic guidance. But also practical solutions to support European regions in building resilient, inclusive, and place-based circular bioeconomy governance models.
Both resources are now available for policymakers, regional authorities, practitioners, and stakeholders committed to driving sustainable transformation.
ROBIN Policy Briefs: Practical Tools and Guidance at a Glance
This concise set of four Policy Briefs provides a clear, actionable summary of the tools and findings developed throughout the project. They are designed to support the replication and adaptation of circular bioeconomy governance models across EU regions.

ROBIN White Paper: Strategic Insight into Overcoming Systemic Barriers
The ROBIN White Paper takes a broader, strategic view. The high-level paper synthesises key challenges that regions face when implementing or improving circular bioeconomy policies—and offering solutions.
Key Focus Areas:
Each challenge is paired with proposed solutions. Moreover, all are supported by evidence gathered through extensive fieldwork and pilot testing.
The document also includes an Action Navigator—a practical guide linking readers to relevant tools and resources within the ROBIN Toolbox.

Why These Documents Matter
Developed through close collaboration with five pilot regions—Andalusia (Spain), Baden-Württemberg (Germany), the Southern Region (Ireland), Central Macedonia (Greece), and the Žilina Region (Slovakia)—the Policy Briefs and White Paper reflect real-world experience, not just theory. Together, they equip regional actors with the resources and confidence to lead in Europe’s green transition.
Special thanks to the authors – PEDAL Consulting´s team members Adriana Ciefova, Kristina Kolarova, Radoslav Považan, and Robert Miskuf – for preparing these key project deliverables.
