The year 2022 was the perfect ‘jing-and-jung’ for PEDAL Consulting.

On one hand, we managed to secure 17 new Horizon Europe grants. This allowed us, among others, to attract incredibly talented and driven team players with the right “PEDAL DNA”.

This would not be possible at all without the trust of our most valued clients!

That’s right. While our never-ending gratitude goes towards our invaluable generous donors (namely the European Commission, U.S. Government, German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action), we recognize that our company would have realized only a tiny fraction of its current achievements without the involvement of project partners. We do not take this for granted. 

We’d like to take a moment and acknowledge all their ‘sweat, blood and tears’ starting from the proposal writing, through the project implementation phase until the final reporting and organic follow up opportunities. We keep learning a great deal from our clients every single day.

On the other hand, this year completely exposed us to our neglected leaks and blind spots. After the EC audit this summer, we received a major hit, in the form of almost 7 figure loss.

Our company is now 13 years old. Since the very beginning it was all about the ‘offense.’ New proposals, new projects, new contacts, new campaigns…This expensive and eye-opening lesson taught us to pay equal importance also to our compliance-related strategies and processes.

We are convinced this experience made us more resilient and, in many cases, it actually even deepened our relationships with many of our partners. Their trust and commitment is highly appreciated. We truly value each and every one of them.

We are looking forward to our continuous collaboration in 2023 and beyond.
