2009
PEDAL Consulting originated as a one-man show. Unbelievable but it is true! The founder, Robert Miskuf, started working first as an intern. Then as a freelancer for a consultancy helping its clients to participate in public tenders and grants. His main task was to identify relevant business opportunities. In practice, it meant to visit 27 websites every morning to look for newly published calls for tenders and proposals. Even back then he didn´t stop wondering how this process could somehow be automated, apart from using bookmarks.
2010
Robert was tasked to prepare the first bid from the beginning to the end. His 5-week effort resulted in a 6,5 kg package of paperwork which was NOT selected for funding.
2011
By the end of the year, Robert prepared or assisted in the preparation of over 20 proposals, mainly in the transport, security and ICT sector. Most of them failed.
2012
This year can be considered as a turning point for Robert. His first client was awarded by the public contract! By the end of the year, he was working on the implementation of 7 EU-funded (FP7) projects.
2013
Here, the era of “we” – PEDAL Consulting – kicked off! Not only did Robert establish a successful company, in which he became the CEO. Moreover, he also succeeded in building a “partner search” prototype.
Thanks to it, a PEDAL Consulting´s client from Slovakia won a public contract in Bulgaria. Blown away by this experience, we wrote 17 proposals for other clients. All of them free of charge!
We also created strong links with important international partners.
2014
PEDAL Consulting set up a pan-European network of consultancies. Mainly those specialising in the public procurement. The network serves as an access to the networks of over 41 companies from 30 European countries, capable of speaking 16 languages.
We also won several public tenders and acquired new deals for our international clients. In parallel, PEDAL Consulting prepared 42 bids.
2015
Our company now runs as a kind of family-type of business with some relatives and few true believers. Also, hitting the “magic 10,000 hour” experience, we decided to found Tenderio. The one stop-shop for public tenders. Tenderio brings under one single roof the world’s number 1 search engine for public tenders and a pan-European network of bid writers with their limitless partner search capabilities. It allows selected companies to access new public contracts anywhere in Europe.
2020
PEDAL Consulting established a new line of service which helps improve the access of its clients to alternative source of financing.
2021
Fast-forward to 2021, PEDAL Consulting is the leading national H2020 SME performer – in terms of number of projects approved and implemented:
€50.1M projects managed;
40+ EU/US contracts;
40+ strategic partners;
150+ clients;
100 + unsuccessful proposals (lessons learnt).
2022
PEDAL Consulting secures 17 new Horizon Europe grants. This allows us, among others, to attract new talented and driven team players with the right “PEDAL DNA”.
2023
PEDAL Consulting reaches and maintains the top SME position in the V4 countries, the Baltic states, Northern Europe and most of the Balkans, in terms of the number of secured Horizon Europe grants.
2024
PEDAL Consulting reaches an important milestone in the Horizon Europe programme, successfully securing 25 grants. This achievement confirms the position as the regional top player from among small and medium enterprises in the V4 countries, the Baltic states, Northern Europe and much in the Balkans.
At the Horizon Europe’s successful midterms, and in a view of increasing the investment-readiness, the Board of Directors decides to switch the company’s long-term orientation. That means to move gradually from non-profit innovation projects to predominantly commercial activities.
This strategic reorientation facilitates for the restructuring of the company to ensure readiness for the entry of a new investor, positioning PEDAL Consulting for future growth and success.
